Dr. Purandara, Former Scientist `G’, of National Institute of Hydrology, i.e.  a premier R & D organization under the Ministry of Jalshakti, Govt of India, at Roorkee, Uttarakhand. He has completed his master’s degree in M. Geology with FIRST RANK from Cochin University of Science and Technology & obtained Ph. D from CUSAT in Coastal Hydrology, Sedimentation and Geochemistry. He obtained Executive MBA in Environmental Management from NIBM, Chennai. He has a great working experience in Environmental Hydrology, Ground water Hydrology & Forest and Agriculture Hydrology and completed 20+ sponsored projects, which includes UNESCO, UNDP, FORD Foundation, DST, MoES and World Bank aided projects (Hydrology Project) and consultancy projects from various government and non-government organizations. From USA, Australia and Malaysia, he obtained advanced training in Forest Hydrology and Watershed Management.
