Geovale organizes internship program for post graduate students

A team of six post graduate geology students have undertaken an internship program under Geovale Services. The internship was based on the upcoming Odisha Iron ore mines auction 2020.

In 2020, more than 100 iron ore mine lease terms would expire and in accordance with MMDR 2015 (Amendment) Act, these mines would be auctioned to new bidders. The current Geological Resource status in most of the mines is unknown, hence it is important to have a detail knowledge of this mines and the quantity of Reserve and Resource they have. These students were engaged in acquiring a comprehensive database of information about these mines and thereafter ranking the mines going on auction in order of potential asset value and risks. The internship program was a very good success for both sides and created a dynamic database to be referred in future.
