Managing Coal Exploration in Eastern India

Geovale has been engaged by a large coal miner in India to initiate and supervise the exploration program under JORC protocol for a coal property in Eastern India. The complete program would involve – drilling, sampling, coal seam correlation, 3D block modeling, Resource Estimation, Hydrological studies and Geo-technical studies and a GR preparation.

There will be around 25000m drilling by deploying 2 high capacity hydrostatic rigs, where borehole depth varies from 40 – 400m (approximately). Geovale’s Coal Exploration Team are involved in core logging, seam correlation, sampling, preparation of sample analysis advice, communicating with the lab in QAQC as per JORC protocol, preparation of database. The Resource Team will work on the datasets for 3D Block Model and Resource Estimation. Geovale’s in-house Hydrology & Geotechnical Team would be responsible for the hydrological and geotechnical studies.
